What Does DeSite Products Manufacture?
We are known for our portable, vibratory topsoil and rock screeners. We also offer other products like the TB475 Dump Bin (4-yard capacity), separate two-yard and one-yard dump bins, Extreme Duty dump trailers, skid steer rippers, skid steer mule bins, and grizzly screeners.
Who typically uses DeSite screeners?
Our customers range from landscaping and construction professionals to hobbyists, property owners, recyclers, compost yards, nurseries, golf courses, equestrians, and even archaeologists.
What is the difference between the SLG and Mini Series?
- SLG series: designed for subcompact to full-size equipment, fitting buckets from 60 to 108 inches wide.
- Mini Series: for mini and subcompact equipment, perfect for buckets 48 to 56 inches wide. Mini screeners are non-vibratory.
What size of screener do I need?
It all starts with the equipment you have:
- Buckets 60 to 66 inches wide: 68v model recommended.
- Buckets 67 to 82 inches wide: 78vfw model recommended.
- Buckets 83 to 108 inches wide: 108vf model recommended.
Do the screeners come with mesh?
Yes, all our Mini and SLG series come with 3/4 x 4-inch elongated mesh for commercial-grade topsoil.
Do you offer different sizes of mesh?
Yes, we have over 10 mesh sizes for screening various materials.
What's the difference between elongated and square mesh?
Elongated mesh helps break up wetter material and keeps it moving smoothly.
If a 4-inch piece of debris turns perfectly, will it go through a 4-inch slot on the mesh?
Yes, if debris turns perfectly, it can pass through the 4-inch slot. This isn’t an issue for most customers. If concerned, choose square mesh.
How big is the 4-inch slot?
Depends on mesh size. For example, 3/4 x 4 mesh means the slot is 4 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. The same logic applies to other sizes.
What is square mesh for?
Typically used for aggregates, wood chips, mulch, masonry sand, and road base when uniform sizing is needed.
I have a lot of debris and organics in my soil. Will the screeners work?
Yes.
With the 68v, debris hanging up is less of an issue since it has no deflector box. For the 78vfw and 108vf, you may need a larger mesh for pre screening or can remove the deflector box to use it like a spring-loaded grizzly. Best of both worlds.
How often do I need to replace the mesh?
It varies based on usage, but most customers go years without replacing mesh. Most mesh orders are for different material types rather than replacement.
Can the mesh handle heavy rocks?
Yes. We use high-grade industrial steel—the same quality used on massive 100k screeners. The screen deck meets the mesh at a 45-degree angle to minimize vertical impact.
Are your screeners double deck?
No. Most “double deck” screeners only produce two products—tailings and overs. True double decks produce three products. Other brands may market double decks mainly to protect their cheaper mesh.
How fast can you screen?
Speed depends on the model, material, and moisture content. Using 3/4 x 4 elongated mesh:
- 68v: 10–20 yards per hour
- 78vfw: 20–40 yards per hour
- 108vf: 30–60 yards per hour
Speeds vary depending on mesh size.
How come the screeners aren’t set to a fixed 20–30 degree angle?
Good luck screening when things get wet. Having an adjustable screen deck lets you keep working while other brands struggle.
A 45-degree angle seems steep—won’t a lot of material fall off the front?
The secret is in the spring suspension system. It lets the operator control how fast material flows across the deck. Compressing the screen slows the flow; dumping straight over it speeds things up. If time is money, count your buckets—you’ll process just as much (if not more) in less time. Simply clean up your overs and re-screen.
Why are your screeners cheaper than other brands?
We’re vertically integrated. We don’t rely on outside suppliers or manufacturers. We handle everything in-house—from design to delivery—keeping costs much lower than competitors.
What is your lead time?
Typically 1–10 days after payment. We handle all logistics in-house with a team of drivers across America. Inventory is always in stock—no built-to-order or long waits.
Do I have to assemble my screener when it arrives?
No. All SLG series screeners come fully built and ready to work unless otherwise requested.
What kind of motor do your screeners have?
All screeners come with a 110v vibratory motor. The 108vf has two independent 110v motors.
Is that strong enough to power a screener?
Yes. The motor provides harmonic vibration that keeps material from sticking.
Do I need a generator to power the screener?
Yes. The 68v and 78vfw require a 4500w generator with at least 3500 working watts. The 108vf requires a 7500w generator with 6500 working watts. Or plug into standard land power if available.
Can I run an extension cord?
Yes. All SLG units have 25 ft of cord and you may add up to 50 ft of 10-gauge heavy-duty cord, totaling 75 ft.
Do you sell gas models?
No. We simplified designs and went fully electric.
Do you have a remote to power the screeners?
No. All vibratory models are plug and play.
What's the warranty on your screeners?
We offer an industry-best 3-year structural warranty.

Do you offer financing?
Yes. Check the “financing available” tab on our website and fill out the form.
How long does financing take?
3–5 days from start to finish.
I only have a small project. Do you rent?
No. We’re direct-to-consumer and don’t offer rentals.
Can I buy and resell back to you?
Yes. We buy back screeners and resell or help market them for you.
Can I buy and upgrade to a larger unit?
Yes. You can trade up.
